Citizenship

The Center’s Citizenship preparation classes teach American history, government, and the responsibility of citizenship. In addition to the citizenship class, a Coordinator assists participants with all aspects of completing the process of becoming a citizen. For new citizens we assist in registering to vote, providing demonstrations on the voting process, and hosting discussion groups for new voters concerning issues and candidates to be voted upon. Elected officials are also invited to speak to the various classes.
