ESOL/Computer
Central to issues of poverty and isolation in the Asian community is literacy. Many participants grew up in war torn areas, such as Cambodia or Vietnam, where access to education was impossible.
There are English classes available in the day and night. The students practice speaking, listening, reading and writing in the ESOL classroom. In the computer lab, students use Rosetta Stone, an English language software program, and learn Word and how to use the Internet.
